Attribute Glossary

All reports included in the University of Miami's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Report Catalog have been defined by multiple terms and tagged with descriptive attributes intended to help you identify the report in question. A glossary of terms and possible attribute values is available below.

Terms

Report Name

  • The title of the report as it is named in the respective source tool.

Business Questions Answered

  • Sample questions or business needs that a given person may be considering during that search that are answered by the report.

Report Description

  • A brief summary of the contents and intended use of the report.

Attributes

Process

  • The financial process/procedure for which a given report is intended to support.
    • Possible Values:
      • Allocation
      • Capital Planning
      • Departmental Budgeting
      • Enrollment Modeling
      • Position Planning
      • Reporting & Analysis
      • Other

Tool

  • The tool or software that contains the report.
    • Possible Values:
      • Tidemark
      • Workday
      • Enterprise BI

Time

  • Available time horizon by which to view reported data.
    • Possible Values:
      • Current FY
      • Prior FYs
      • Future FY

Scenario

  • The type of financial reporting data presented in the report.
    • Possible Values:
      • Budget
      • Actuals
      • Projections
      • Forecasts
      • Allocation
      • Variance

Detail

  • The level of reporting specificity that is available in the report.
    • Possible Values:
      • Category
      • Expense Type
      • Driver
